The Ladybug Project

The ladybug project was created in honor of our 2 babies that were miscarried in November 2019 and June 2020.  They were both 6 weeks along, about the size of a ladybug.  When we miscarried our sweet babies my eyes were opened to the fact that miscarriage is a very different type of child loss, and deserves to be acknowledged as such.

When we lost Kaysen, there was a lot to do... spend as much time with him as we could, physically heal from labor and delivery, plan a funeral, etc.  When we miscarried our little ladybugs, I really struggled with knowing there was just nothing to “do” with my grief.  It seemed like the world around me was just moving forward as if nothing happened, while my life was flipped upside down and all of my dreams were ripped away in an instant.  I had all of this grief and nothing to do with it, leaving me feeling very lost and alone.  The support of those close to me carried me through those days.

The ladybug project provides support to families who have experienced the loss of a child through miscarriage, by providing special care packages.  Each care package is unique and tailored to the family who will be receiving it.  These care packages can be requested directly by the family who has experienced the miscarriage, or by a friend/family member who would like to gift it to them as a way to show their love and support.

If you would like to request a care package for yourself or a friend, please fill out this form.  Thank you!
